Review UK arms exports to UAE & consider sanctions
Sudan faces a severe humanitarian crisis, with civilians suffering widespread displacement and harm. We ask the Government to review arms exports to the UAE to ensure full compliance with export controls, increase transparency, and consider sanctions linked to the Sudan conflict.
Sudan’s conflict has caused extensive civilian suffering and displacement. Many international organisations warn that external support may be worsening the crisis. We believe the UK has legal duties under export controls and the Arms Trade Treaty to prevent contributing to abuses. We call for a review of arms exports to the UAE, ensure the transparent publication of the review’s findings, and consider targeted sanctions where evidence confirms involvement in violations.
