Introduce accountability laws for party manifesto's
I would like to see accountability laws bound to parties manifesto pledges which if broken has consequences for that party. This could be an MP having to stand down for the break of a pledge or a general election is held if that party has not withheld any of their manifesto commitments.
There is a fundemental issue of peoples trust in politics highlighted by the number of people actively engaging in voting; and by the number of problems highlighted by ALL media outlets about ALL PARTIES. I believe that by introducing a law for manifesto pledges, this will go part of the way to solving the issue of transparency.
