Petition Action

Make DNA testing compulsory of every deceased person to solve unsolved crimes

Petition Details

New law:
• DNA mouth swab taken from every person who dies
• Checked once against unsolved crimes
• No match = destroyed immediately
• Cost paid by the Government
• Could solve thousands of cold cases
• Put victims first

Additional Information

I bring this petition because too many families still suffer in silence after unsolved murders, rapes and disappearances. Parents can wait a lifetime to bury their child; children grow old without answers. Every year offenders die peacefully while victims’ families are denied the truth. A simple DNA swab taken after death — potentially costing pennies — could finally give them closure. We feel this is basic British fairness: putting grieving victims first.
