Make voting compulsory in the UK

Petition Details

55% of the electorate did not vote in the last general election in the Blackpool South Constituency.

Additional Information

The reason this needs to be debated is that, as members of society we need to all take responsibility for the way this country is run. Apathy by the public just creates division and is not fair to the 45% of the electorate that did vote.
