Mandatory NHS Use for All Members of Parliament and Their Families
We call upon the House of Commons to introduce a new law mandating that all sitting Members of Parliament (MPs), and their immediate dependants (spouse and children under 18), must be registered users of and exclusively rely upon the National Health Service (NHS) for all their healthcare needs.
The NHS is currently facing a critical crisis marked by extreme waiting lists, severe staff shortages, and deteriorating service standards, directly impacting the health and well-being of the general public.
Results of banning private insurance
MPs will personally experience the reality of NHS pressures cause of backlogs
This will ensure their personal health interests are directly aligned with those of their constituents.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
This is not something which the UK Government or Parliament is responsible for.
Decisions about whether to receive healthcare through the NHS or privately are a matter for every individual, not the UK Government or Parliament.
