Guilt determined by peers to be a fundamental right
Today David lammy announced an attack on a fundamental part of UK identity and justice announcing the right to trial by jury to be limited in all but the most extreme offences.
This is a fundamental principle of British identity and uk justice.... Guilt decided by your peers.
Only 3% of cases go to a trial by jury so the reasoning behind jury trial removal is incoherent.... It will not clear court back logs.
Further the potential for over reach and justice being met out without public consent is an abhorrent attack on British values
