Petition Action

Require dementia training for all patient-facing NHS staff

Petition Details

We believe that people with dementia face avoidable harm in hospitals due to inconsistent training and poor accountability. We need mandatory dementia training for all staff and national standards to ensure safe, compassionate, and consistent care across every NHS hospital.

Additional Information

People with dementia face high risks in hospital, falls, delirium, long stays, and avoidable harm. We think this is because staff training and care standards vary. I want the Government to make dementia training mandatory and ensure every NHS hospital provides safe, consistent, compassionate care.
