Remove all tax reliefs granted to all religious groups

Petition Details

Remove tax reliefs afforded to religious groups such that they pay business rates on commercial activity and all normal property taxes and council taxes on properties occupied for religious purposes.

Additional Information

Religious groups control significant wealth and in a secular modern society serve a declining group of people in relative terms. Property taxes such as council tax should be levied to provide much needed local tax incomes for councils.
