The electorate wants 3 televised debates before the General Election. With or without David Cameron
Televised debates between leaders of political parties are a key way for the electorate to engage with the democratic process.
Broadcasters shouldn't be pressurised into running these in a way that suits one political party, or one political figure, more than another. That's not what the electorate wants, and isn't a way for a healthy democracy to function.
I want to see 3 televised debates prior to the General Election 2015, whether or not the PM or representative of the Conservative Party is present at any of them.
