Falklands. Prevent the UK Government selling weapons to Argentina
Currently UK export rules ban weapons with British parts from being sold to Argentina, in place since the Falkland's War. The UK Government is considering lifting this ban.
We the undersigned state this ban must not be lifted or diluted in any way especially considering the Falkland's Sea Lion oil field is due to begin exporting oil from 2028. It is strategic suicide for the UK to sell and/or permit weapons with British components to Argentina (either directly or indirectly), in light of Argentina's continued wish to gain sovreignty of the Falklands even before viable oil fields were discovered, and now due to be exporting in the near future.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We are not clear about the action that you are seeking, as the Government has recently denied that it is planning to sell weapons to Argentina.
