Allow all ILR holders to bring parents and in-laws to UK as dependants
We want the UK Government to amend immigration rules to allow people with Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) to bring their parents and parents-in-law to live with them as dependants, even if they are not financially dependent or require long-term personal care.
Many ILR holders can’t return home due to financial pressures and work commitments, yet suffer deep emotional pain from being separated from their parents. We feel this separation harms both generations — parents face loneliness and declining health, while their children live with guilt and stress.
Families should have the right to stay united in later life.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
