Change The Sexual Offences Act Law

Additional Information

To change the Sexual Offences Act Law 2003

I am campaigning to change the sexual offences law by making sure that everyone has an equal sentencing no matter what their circumstances are.

Sentences could be shortened if the defended has been proven to have any of the below:
• If pleading guilty straight away, sentences are shortened.
• If the defendant is found to have a mental disorder- rehab would be conducted and then they would be let out on the streets.
• If having poor backgrounds and bad up bringing sentences are shortened.

By destroying peoples lives and families rapists are still able to get around the penalties and have a reduced sentence.
The court would also have to take into considering when sentencing: hostility based on race, religion, sexual orientation or disability (which includes mental health issues or learning disability).
Criminals should not be given this privilege!
