Additional Information

Amid growing controversy over the Labour government’s deviation from, and failure to adhere to, the manifesto on which it was elected, a serious constitutional issue arises. Party manifestos underpin informed voter consent and should therefore carry legal force. This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what action you'd like the Government or Parliament to take in relation to fulfilling party manifesto promises.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

You may also wish to sign this petition which calls for a similar action: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/749381
