Petition Action

Review laws around flying drones above and near all ports

Petition Details

Review rules around flying drones around ports. With growing threats from hostile states using drones, and the ease of flying drones near some ports, vital national infrastructure is at risk and requires stronger legal protection now to protect workers, trade, energy and safety

Additional Information

We urge the Government and Parliament to require no-fly zones around all ports. Ports are critical national infrastructure for trade, energy and security. With increasing drone threats from hostile states and the ease of flying drones near ports, a review is needed to deter misuse, protect workers, prevent disruption, and strengthen national resilience. We think police and port authorities should have stronger powers to act quickly, improve safety, and reduce risks to the public and the economy
