Petition Details

The 1688 Bill of Rights says that parliament exists to Redress all grievances and for amending & strengthening the laws.

We are not being allowed to do this here online with public e petitions. Yet it is enshrined in Standing Orders

Public Petitions
Presentation of petitions 153

Additional Information

Every Member offering to present a petition to the House, not being a petition for a private bill, or relating to a private bill before the House, shall confine himself to a statement of the parties from whom it comes, the number of signatures attached to it, and the material allegations contained in it, and to reading the prayer of such petition

The Cambridge Dictionary meaning of
Allegation: "a statement, made without giving proof, that someone has done something wrong or illegal"

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

if you were to propose a clear petition calling on Parliament to amend the standards for e-petitions (which are not paper/public petitions under SO No. 153) to allow for accusations/allegations of wrongdoing that might pass muster.
