The UK should rejoin the european union (EU)
The UK should submit a formal application to rejoin the European Union (EU) under Article 49 of the Treaty on European Union (TEU), meaning we would try to reapply as a new candidate.
it would considerably improve the UK and EU as a whole. Various reports states that the UK will be £311bn worse off by 2035 due to leaving the EU. This will greatly impact the UK residents. 2024 study by Alabrese et al finds that the vast majority of UK regions experienced significant output losses as a result of Brexit, estimated at 5-10 percentage points of GDP relative to synthetic counterfactuals. & hopes for increased trade with nonEU nations via new deals havent fully materialized e.g USA
