End the Ban on In-Cabin Air Travel for Small Pets dogs and cats Entering the UK
We ask the Government to amend UK pet travel regulations to permit in-cabin air travel for small pets on approved routes, subject to defined weight limits, approved carriers, pre-travel certification, microchipping, rabies vaccination, full compliance with UK biosecurity.
Allowing small pets to travel in the cabin would:
1.Improve animal welfare and reduce travel-related stress and trauma
2.Increase safety by keeping pets under direct supervision
3.Align the UK with international best practice
4.Support responsible pet ownership and family reunification
We ask the Government to review existing regulations and work with airlines, veterinarians, and animal welfare organisations to introduce a controlled and safe framework for in-cabin pet travel for small animals.
