Petition Action

Increase 'Expensive Car Supplement' threshold to £50,000 for Hybrid vehicles.

Petition Details

We call on the Government to raise the threshold for the Expensive Car Supplement (the "luxury car tax") from £40,000 to £50,000 for all petrol and diesel hybrid vehicles, matching the upcoming threshold increase for fully electric vehicles.

Additional Information

Stop the unfair "Luxury Tax" on family hybrids!
The £40k tax threshold is outdated. While EVs get a raise to £50k in April, hybrid drivers are being left behind. We’re calling on Parliament to raise the limit to £50k for all hybrids to keep green motoring affordable.
