Fund information campaign for secondary school teachers about generative AI

Petition Details

The government should educate secondary school teachers during their training courses on the pitfalls and risks of encouraging their students to use AI when it isn’t necessary (creative assignments, revision, etc) by setting an example.

Additional Information

We think secondary schools using AI images in powerpoints, using AI prompts and encouraging its usage is unnecessary and incites laziness and hinders students’ development of key life skills such as creativity and summarizing information (which is important for revision). Discouraging its use among teachers and subsequently students motivates independent thinking and fosters necessary competence.
