Ban gambling advertising in the UK
We want the UK Government to ban gambling advertising across television, online platforms, social media, and sports sponsorships to protect public health and reduce gambling-related harm.We call on the Government to. Ban gambling advertisements on TV, radio, online platforms, and social media.
Gambling advertising is widespread in the UK and is heavily embedded in sports, television, and social media.Problem gambling contributes to financial hardship, mental health issues, relationship breakdowns, and addiction. Despite existing regulations, gambling adverts continue to reach children and those trying to recover from gambling addiction.
We believe gambling should not be promoted in the same way as everyday entertainment.
