Petition Action

Make all politicians legally liable for electioneering statements if elected

Petition Details

Keep elected politicians legally liable to their statements and party manifesto while electioneering. Stop politicians lying to the electorate before elections.

Additional Information

Because the electorate have to trust their politicians to carry out their statements and manifesto. Otherwise trust is lost and people won't listen or bother to vote.
Democracy will be lost along with trust and we will live under the tyranny of lying dictatorships pretending to be democracy.
Politicians have proved they are untrustworthy and change their manifesto statements once in power .
