Include autism training within schools up and down the country for teachers
As an autistic man growing up before there was full knowledge I know that training and early intervention is paramount. My late teacher with full training changed the direction of my difficulties.
As soon as I was given the correct approach to teaching I began to learn. This is important to all children on the spectrum. A trained teacher is worth 4 untrained teachers at least so please let’s make it mandatory! We are putting more autistic children in main stream putting a strain on teaching so with the right training at least the teaching staff have a chance to help make a difference.
