David Dukenfield has finally admitted that he ordered the gates to be opened at The Hillsborough ground, an action that dramatically accelerated the death of 96 football fans. He deliberatly lied on the day, he lied to his superiors and has lied at every inquest, and continued to lie for 25 years.
If his incompetance and lies had been discovered on the day he would have been sacked for gross misconduct.
i want his Police pension stripped back to a level that reflects his sacking on 15/05/1989
David Dukenfield's words;I said something rather hurriedly, without considering the position, without thinking of the consequences and the trauma, the heartache and distress that the inference would have caused to those people who were already in a deep state of shock, who were distressed.
He told the court that he had "no idea" what motivated him to lie
