Bring in a law to stop people pulling out of a house purchase after an offer
Bring in a law to tie people into a house purchase at the start of conveyancing like in Scotland Or fine people who pull out making them pay the costs of those affected by the break in the chain
We have tried to buy two houses and had people pull out just before final completion, when costs have been incurred. This is not unusual,I know of 8 people this has hsppened to and infact most people you talk to have had this experience. It is making house purchases take months or fall through leading to heart break, financial losses and stagnation in the housing market. It is time it was resolved and will be supported by estate agents and house purchasers alike.
