Introduce a law for mandatory visible disclosure marks on AI-generated media
Introduce legislation requiring all AI-generated images and videos to carry a clear, visible label embedded in the content. The label should remain visible when shared across platforms, helping the public identify AI-generated media and improving transparency, trust and online safety.
AI-generated images and videos are being used to harass, humiliate and impersonate people. This harm has been linked to young people taking their own lives and is an urgent safeguarding issue for children, adults and society. Clear labelling would help prevent harm and protect everyone.
While we wait for corporations to act responsibly we are all at risk and our government has the power to protect us. The time is NOW!
