Include GMC accredited degrees from UK medical campuses outside of the UK
The Medical Training (Prioritisation) Bill should be amended to include GMC accredited medical degrees from UK medical campuses outside of the UK within the definition of UK Primary Medical Qualification.
We believe the current Bill irrationally discriminates against British citizens or other third country nationals, funding equivalent GMC-validated UK University degrees abroad at UK university campuses, potentially breaching equality or legitimate expectation principles. We are concerned students having funded five years of medical studies could be discriminated against by failure to accept their qualifications for the purposes of prioritisation for Foundation Training as resident doctors.
