Subsidise cost of private therapy for those on NHS mental health waiting lists
As highlighted by some UK charities/organisations, the mental health system is facing severe challenges. Some specialist services via the NHS have waiting times of 6 months and more. This is far too long to wait for those in a crisis.
Many people cannot afford to access private services due to the high cost, but if the Government introduced a subsidiary funding program we believe more people will be able to afford to access this, and thus reducing pressure on the NHS services and freeing up space for those still in the queue. In our view, financial pressures influence a huge part of mental health - people need support now.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
