All inhalers prescribed for asthma should be free through the NHS
All inhalers prescribed for the treatment and management of asthma should be provided free of charge through the NHS
Compared to conditions such as diabetes, hypothyroidism and epilepsy, where essential medication is provided free on the NHS, it is unfair that millions of people in the UK with asthma must pay for lifelong treatment. Asthma requires continuous access to inhalers to prevent serious and potentially fatal attacks, regardless of a person’s financial circumstances. We urge the Government to make all NHS asthma inhalers free.
