Add Sickle Cell Disease to the NHS Prescription Charge Exemption List
Living with Sickle Cell is a journey which can be defined by unrelenting unpredictability and hardship. This is not an abstract issue or a distant statistic - it is my life. I am not just writing about Sickle Cell; I am living it. The health scares are constant, and the uncertainty never rests.
Beyond the physical pain and emotional toll. The cost of medication. These medicines are not optional. They are life-sustaining that allows patients to manage complications, and maintain a quality of life. We think it is both strenuous and unjust to expect individuals already battling a debilitating genetic disorder to also shoulder such overwhelming financial strain.
Proactive healthcare is essential to managing it. Access to medication should not depend on income, geography, or circumstance.
