Petition Action

Scrap the idea of a Police Licence to Practise

Petition Details

Scrap the idea of a Police Licence to Practise. We do not think it would solve the issues that police are currently facing. We believe there is no realistic possible way to implement this to have a positive impact on policing.

Additional Information

Police Officers hold a warrant card which confirms their legal authority. Officers have already undergone basic training, tutor periods and some have completed degrees as well as already doing yearly reaccreditations for skills that they have obtained. We think all the license will do is cause a higher wastage of police funding as you'd have to pay people to create and monitor it.
