Review the sentencing standards for carrying a bladed article in public
Following yet a other mindless, needless murder of a teenager, with a bladed article, I wish for the Government to increase Police powers of stop and search enabling them to identify those who carry bladed articles in public and enforce a minimum 5 year custodial sentence on those found carrying one
As a Father, I do not wish to see any child, of any age, being needlessly killed by other children. I genuinely believe that the Government owes it to every family who has lost a child in this manner to start making an example of those who do carry bladed articles in public and prevent them having the opportunity to take someone's child's life.
