Propose the creation of a new defence treaty in Europe as an alternative to NATO
We call on the UK Government to support the creation of a European defence treaty which can remain dormant until the day the United States could no longer uphold the North Atlantic Treaty. It would need no secretariat or integrated commands until those of NATO become available for use by Europeans.
We, the undersigned, are concerned about the legacy of this US administration’s policies toward Greenland, Ukraine, Europe, and international law in general. We question the ability and the will of the US to defend both Europe and the Far East in the future. We believe only a legitimate treaty could ever replace NATO and that no current European institution is fit. The EU & UK already have many times the population and GDP of Russia. We believe only the political will is needed.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
