Ensure Government Listens to Public Concerns, Including Privacy & Digital Rights
Im asking the Government to genuinely consult the public, improve transparency in decision-making, and review the Online Safety Act to ensure it does not undermine personal privacy, data protection, or freedom of expression, with stronger safeguards, accountability, and democratic oversight.
Many people (myself included) feel ignored by the Government on issues that affect daily life, from the cost of living to public services and civil liberties. A healthy democracy requires ongoing public engagement, transparency and accountability. Concerns about the Online Safety Act highlight the need to protect privacy, free expression and data rights, and ensure policies are developed with public consent and safeguards.
