Petition Action

Make CCTV compulsory on all SEND transport

Petition Details

For the safety of our vulnerable children, CCTV should be mandatory on all transport to ensure our vulnerable children and adults are protected from any abuse that may occur by drivers and escorts

Additional Information

There have been many occasions where vulnerable adults or SEN individuals have been hurt on SEND transport. CCTV would protect our children and adults from potential abuse, As it stands it is not yet legally required for CCTV to be in place on SEND transport and staff take advantage of this, especially to very vulnerable individuals who don't have the capacity to explain what happened. This would also protect staff from said allegations if they're innocent.
