Petition Action

Mandatory whole life order for murder

Petition Details

If a person has taken a life and there is concrete evidence to support this then they should be given a whole life order. It should be life for a life. Imprisonment until they die. Regardless of if a person pleads guilty or if there are mental health issues.

Additional Information

I've watched a fair few crime documentaries based on fact. And the judicial system makes absolutely no sense to me. In some cases, pleading guilty to murder may result in less punishment. The same can happen for those with mental health issues or a history of abuse. I believe they're all dangerous and shouldn't be allowed back into society to potentially reoffend. If due to mental health there should be a facility provided for them rather then jail if needed. Same for those with a traumatic history.
