Make it a criminal offence to destroy or scrap officially issued UK military medals. Rising silver prices and a lucrative collectors' market mean medals are being melted down for profit, engraved names erased and service details and irreplaceable records of those who served destroyed forever.

Additional Information

Scrapping or damaging medals erases personal and national history. These honours deserve legal protection to stop their permanent loss for furure generations.
