Petition Action

Review existing safeguards for UK national crew working on cruise ships

Petition Details

Review safeguarding and reporting requirements which should protect UK crew members working on cruise ships, ensuring serious incidents reported by crew are independently recorded, investigated, and referred to appropriate authorities.

Additional Information

We are concerned that serious safeguarding incidents through internal channels are not always formally recorded or escalated, leaving people without protection or recourse and allowing the failure to go unaddressed. We feel a review is needed to ensure independent safeguarding and reporting requirements to protect UK crew members working in the cruise industry.
