Petition Action

Provide funding for body armour for frontline operational ambulance staff

Petition Details

Provide funding for body armour for frontline operational staff who wish to be equipped with it for use at their discretion, in the same manner body worn cameras are sometimes deployed, and fund adequate training.

Additional Information

Operational staff members have had knives pulled on them when attending addresses deemed safe. They have no protection or adequate personal defence training. They feel genuine fear for their lives, and they can have young families at home. These types of incidents are on the increase.
