Animals on private yachts

Additional Information

Domestic pets should be allowed to enter the UK on their owners vessels.
Currently all animals including pets have to be brought in using a recognised carrier into a registered port.
This means people taking their pets to Europe on their own vessel has to arrange for their pet to return by ferry.
This is inconvenient to the owners, and stressful for the animal.
Pets that have a passport and have been chipped should be allowed to travel on private yachts to the UK.
