Fund free dental care for all under-18s, regardless of NHS dentist availability
Guarantee free dental care for all under-18s. Where NHS practices are full, the Government must fund private check-ups and essential treatment. No child should be denied healthcare or left in pain because their parents cannot afford private fees. End the "dental deserts" now.
We believe this is an educational emergency. The national "Belonging and Thriving" agenda fails when children are left in agony. Students cannot learn while suffering chronic pain or sleep deprivation. They cannot "belong" when ashamed of their smile or missing school for extractions. For families locked out of the NHS, private fees can be impossible. If the NHS cannot provide a space, the state must fund private care. We must end this two-tier health system.
If you want to sign this petition (as opposed to merely discuss it), you need to do that on the government's e-Petitions website.
