Let Type 1 Diabetics join the British Forces.
I want the Government or Parliament to review the rules that prevent people with Type 1 diabetes from joining the British Forces. Many with Type 1 diabetes can meet the same physical and mental standards as non-diabetic recruits and should have the same opportunity to serve their country.
I want the Government or Parliament to review the rules preventing people with Type 1 diabetes from joining the British Forces. Many with this condition are just as fit, capable, and committed as non-diabetic recruits. These outdated rules unfairly block willing and qualified individuals from serving their country. Updating them would ensure fairness, recognise true ability, and let all dedicated applicants contribute to our nation’s defence.
