Review education about nutrition and responsible farming in schools
We call for a review of the national curriculum to consider how it could better include nutrition and responsible farming to teach people about the journey their food takes from farm to fork. We believe good wholesome homemade food can ward off sickness and obesity so also protecting NHS.
In our view, the current food education within schools is basic and doesn't provide enough education in respect of where our food is from, which food is nutritional and locally produced. This, we believe, can continue to adulthood as there are adults who have no idea what they are consuming and the nutritional values.
