The Military at the moment has a blanket ban on Autism and other special needs. But, this is old fashioned and verging on prejudice. For example, special needs don't necessarily hinder of make a person noticeably different. For example, Albert Einstein and other such people have or had Aspergers, a form of autism that many, and I Live with daily. I Call for a case by case assessment of each hopeful recruit, as the military launches recruiting campaigns, they are rejecting able people for obsolete ideology. Stop the madness!! We need our troops increasingly.
