Make the 15th June 2026 a bank holiday for England and Wales

Petition Details

We want the UK Government to grant a bank holiday on 15 June to England and Wales to recognise Scotland’s participation in the World Cup.

Additional Information

His Majesty the King has already granted Scotland a bank holiday to mark its participation in the World Cup, as proposed by the Scottish Government. As this is a major sporting event followed across the UK, it would be fair and inclusive for the Government to extend the bank holiday. This would boost morale, support local businesses, and allow everyone to share in the celebration.
