I want the Government to Introduce a contribution-based asylum route for people living in the UK for 3+ years, including long-pending asylum families, legal entrants who later overstayed, UK-born children and their parents, subject to identity checks, good character and proof of residence.

Introduce a contribution-based asylum scheme for residents with 3+ years in the UK: asylum pending families, visa overstayers who entered legally, and parents of UK-born children. Tiered pathways: 3 years standard, 2 years for families with children or essential workers. Require identity verification, good character checks, and payment of fees/NHS surcharge. Grant temporary work rights leading to settlement after 5 years, reducing hotel costs and generating = annual tax revenue.
