Increase financial penalties on water companies for not treating raw sewage.
Increase the financial penalties given to water companies for not treating raw sewage and dumping it in our water ways instead. Also review the price the public pays for water. The price has increased even though the quality of service has decreased.
Our environment is being damaged by these companies through their dumping of raw sewage. Our bills are increasing, the level of service is decreasing yet the water companies profits are significantly increasing every year. The impact on the public due to the incompetence of the water companies is purely negative. It is a hazard to health for the general public and our wildlife. A harsher financial penalty would encourage the correct treatment of raw sewage.
