Launch an independent inquiry into foreign influence & dark money in UK politics
We urge the Government to investigate and report on foreign-linked funding, dark money networks, and lobbying influence affecting UK political parties and senior political decision-making.
Recent public concerns have highlighted the potential for foreign states, wealthy individuals, and offshore-linked entities to exert influence through political donations, indirect funding routes, lobbying, media support, and pressure surrounding major political appointments. We believe existing safeguards may be insufficient.
