Review Dangerous Dog Act 1991 and bring in dog ownership license and dog tagging

Petition Details

I want the Government to review Dangerous Dogs Act to bring in stricter penalties for out of control dogs, and require by law that all dog owners hold a dog owner license and that all dogs are tagged.

Additional Information

We believe ensuring ALL dog owners have a licence will help prevent harm, neglect and abuse towards animals and to ensure animals are in safe hands. Animal victims of attacks should be tackled more seriously to keep them safe. Animals should only be given to an owner who has a valid dog owner licence. Any evidence of harm towards animals should have their licence removed to further prevent harm and abuse.
