Implement compulsory voting in General Elections
Make the voting mandatory for everyone or they will have to pay a fine for not voting because a lot of people are not voting, and the percentage of people voting in the UK is decreasing. To maintain democratic freedom of choice, this should include a 'None of the Above' option on all ballot papers.
It will help to increase voter turnout (higher % of citizens voting) in General Elections as low voter turnout risks legitimacy of our democracy. With compulsory voting more people will be politically active so that will make the Government represent everyone as people of all ages (above 18) are voting so the Government party will want to reflect the will of the entire nation
