Give Leuchars Station back to RAF Control.

Petition Details

I want the Government to recognise the historic and strategic importance that RAF Leuchars held for nearly 100 years, and to consider returning Leuchars Station to RAF control.

Additional Information

RAF Leuchars was one of the most important RAF bases in the UK when it was under RAF control. Leuchars also hosted a major airshow, which brought in income for the base and organisation, as well as tourism for the local area. Bringing Leuchars Station back under RAF control would help ensure that local businesses could benefit once again. Leuchars Station also served as a major part in helping aircraft cross the Atlantic, as it is in a strong geographic position for transatlantic flights.
